In their work, Valentina explores the intersection between mechanical and human systems, focusing on the invisible forces that blur the boundaries between the two.
Their current research shifts toward the family as the first system of power, focusing on the role of intimacy within abusive contexts.
They are interested in the silent traces trauma leaves behind, and in how identity is shaped by what is endured rather than spoken.
An ongoing theme of research in Valentina’s work approaches machines as emotional organisms, using sound - through mechanical orchestra - as an exorcistic ritual tool.
